Planet Rugby: Leicester openside Lewis Moody has revealed that the Tigers will be using anger as a motivator when they meet Bath at Welford Road this Sunday.
England's oldest rivals are poised to collide this week in the second semi-final of the Guinness Premiership as first plays fourth in 2009/10.
And with a 32-23 defeat at the hands of Saracens still weighing heavily on Tigers' minds, Moody is ready to put the disappointment of losing their 31-game unbeaten run on home soil firmly to bed.
"We will sit down, evaluate our performance and the mistakes that we made," said the 31-year-old, speaking to the Leicester Mercury.
"We were all guilty of them at one stage or another and that will anger us.
"That's the way it should be. We should be angry. When you lose and you lose at home in a game that you should win, it has to hurt.
"It was frustrating. They were a side we knew we could beat and it was very disappointing to lose that record.
"We will go through what we did and then forget about it and move on to the next game.
"We must take that disappointment in the right way and manifest it in a result on Sunday."
Moody was on Tuesday named in Martin Johnson's England squad for their June trip Down Under where they will meet heavyweights Australia and New Zealand.
But it is apparent that he will be solely thinking of club matters when he runs out for his final game at Welford Road before joining Sunday's rivals next season, citing a need to respond in the right way as vital to Leicester's chances of making the final at Twickenham.
"Any team that comes to Welford Road is always up for it," he continued.
"Saracens played well and took the opportunities that came their way.
"We still got ourselves in positions to score late on but we turned the ball over.
"It was a game that was there for the taking and we have to make sure that the disappointment from that defeat shows itself in the right manner this weekend."
Speaking of that impending move over to the Recreation Ground, the man nicknamed 'Mad Dog' has played down the prospect of facing his future employers.
"It's just another game at Welford Road for me. It's a simple as that," he said.
"It is a game we have to win to progress into the semi-final and that's the only way I will be looking at it.
"The nostalgia and looking back will come when the season has finished. We have to make sure that we put in a performance."
