Nili...Bro, you inspired all of us during the 2007 World Cup...I could see your love and passion to represent Tonga the way it ought to be represented...You are such a great role model for us all, as I know your motives are pure. You love Tonga, it's people, and the ones in the arenas doing the dirty work in trenches. You represent the people...It sad to see disloyalty to our country, from those who are supposedly our leaders...But you know, vengeance is God's, and He will repay....ofa lahi atu Nili!!!

I used to visit the Ikale tahi camp before they left to Fiji and it was very sad experienced. Food was below standard, coaches has to find the next dollar for the accomodation and son on and on. The Manager's rarely show up for team meetings and even the Board never show any appreciation at all by just show up. Not even once in all my visit to the team. Since the first time visiting the team, I know what follows. I talked to Nili and he was crying on how they were treated. Is it a set up by the TRFU at the time so that they can get rid of the coaching staff at the time. I found out from the senior players that the Head Coach at the time pays for the team food in the first 4 days of the camp and pays for the accomodation (4 nights) at Janful Hotel when they were kicked out of the Soccer complex. Since then I know what will happened. This is all the responsibility of the team manager selected by the TRFU. Nili was a man of honesty and when he wears the red jersey, it like a married couples who havent seen each other for a few years. When they met, they want to make sure its the best time of their lives. Bring back Nili and the boys please. They cant make a fortune out of Tonga rugby and they know it well. Lets be honest with them and they wont care.

Why does it have to come to all this? We are in the "professional" era in sports yet the Tonga Rugby Union seems to be operating and conducting themselves in the "Stone Age". The TRFU need to take a good hard look at themselves and change the current structure of rugby in Tonga because it's not working.

I have just read Nili Latu's comments, explanation and plea for forgiveness from the powers that be of Tongan Rugby.I know that it's hard to forgive him for what he did but isn't that what we need from a captain. To stand up for his team and his players. Nili had represented Tonga with pride and always giving his best as a captain and a player.Maybe he had gone through things in the wrong way but as rugby players,we are all for one and one for all. May i plead with Isitolo to please give Nili another chance...he could be your best helper.Lets forget the past and move forward for our time in this world is too short to be bitter. The Ikaletahi players will be playing the biggest game of their life come 2011 RWC.Surely we don't want another century over us so we need all our best players.Lets beat the arrogant All Blacks in their own back yard for they are getting softer every year.(softer because they don't have any more Tonga players in their team)But we can only do that by working together as a team and as one nation and beating them is only possible if we BELIEVE...love to all..
